Steven Uhthoff Marine Surveys is an Annapolis-based company focusing on Pre-purchase inspections. Other services include Insurance surveys, Appraisals, and Donation inspections. Marine consultation is also available.  We serve the entire United States.

Our surveys are conducted using the latest technology - a tablet PC and custom software package that facilitates a systematic and comprehensive inspection of the vessel.  By following ABYC, USCG and NFPA recommendations, the emphasis is placed on your safety and the integrity of the vessel.

Steven Uhthoff brings a unique perspective to his inspections with a lifetime of offshore yachting experience and 24 years providing marine repair services.  He encourages his clients to be onboard during the inspection process, enabling them to learn about the vessel.  You will find that Steve is an enthusiastic and informative surveyor.

We provide a short review of the findings at the end of the survey while still onboard. Most reports are sent within 24 to 48 hours. Steve always encourages his clients to call with any questions they might have upon reviewing their report.
